Junction was the final "extra-small" level developed for Starhawk 1.04. I had originally wanted to try and create a much more structural Acid Sea-styled Deathmatch map, but sadly by the time we got around to making this level, no content support was available and I had to build the level with existing content, including terrain islands used in the campaign mission "The Pit."

While I couldn't do the vertical tower I had originally hoped for, I still centered the level around a tall man-made structure. Reaching the upper level requires Jetpacks, Hawks, or the Pod Launcher DLC part, making for a particularly intense experience holding or assaulting the upper platform in Zones. The bridge extension from this platform contains troop-scale cover, allowing players to make a more protected Jetpack ascent and fight their way across on foot.
